[L]ocal Band “FLYNT” have just landed a Radio 1 play for their debut single “Julia”.

The band, made up of four West Cumbrians, have been climbing the BBC introducing ladder with their infectious self-written and produced indie-pop music, as locally produced as a bag of Cheese-XL.

Their first song has been selected by the people at BBC introducing to be played to the nation by Huw Stephens’ on BBC Radio 1 from 10pm this Wednesday and will be released on Spotify & Apple Music moments after.

Brad Kavanagh – Singer & Guitarist said: “We had the goal of reaching Radio 1, but didn’t expect it to happen quite so soon.

“Since forming the band under the new name in January, the reception to our music has been amazing. And it’s all down to the locals who’ve supported us so far.

“This is an amazing step in the right direction and we can’t wait for you to have more FLYNT soon!”

The band do everything from designing graphics, maintaining their website, to writing and recording their songs, support some local music and follow them here to find out more: http://bit.ly/Flyntbook
