Realtree Main Arena Line-Up Confirmed for 2017 Lowther Show

[T]he 2017 Lowther Show will soon be upon us, returning to the stunning Cumbrian Countryside over 12th and 13th August.

Taking place within the beautiful grounds of Lowther Castle, this year’s Lowther Show welcomes the return of its ever-popular key show features including the Lowther Horse Driving Trials, Food & Beer Festival, the Lowther Fishing Island and the Lowther Hound Show and, along with its renowned key areas, Lowther is also pleased to welcome a full line-up of countryside fun inside the Realtree Main Arena.

Visitors to this August’s event can enjoy a superb line-up of activity inside the Realtree Main Arena, including falconry and Spanish horse wizardry with Jonathan Marshall, the ancient art of Falconry with Ye Olde Redtail Falconry, as well as the Fell Pony Society and The Pony Club UK.

For those interested in all the championship action this 2017 season, Lowther welcomes qualifying rounds in the Chudleys Gundog Championship, has competitions throughout the weekend over at the Clay Shooting Festival and offers a wide range of Terrier and Lurcher showing classes and field events, professionally organised by the Coursing Crew over in the Terrier and Lurcher area.

Away from the competitions, the Lowther Show has lots going on for all ages. Visitors can enjoy the ever-popular Folk Roots Festival, a Food Festival and the Lowther Trail Run. Also new for this year includes a dedicated BASC Village housing everything to do with shooting and conservation, a Survival Camp and both Craft and Antiques Marquee, not to mention a whole host of family inspired entertainment. From Animal displays, an Airsoft Range to Practical Horsemanship, there is also a huge array of have-a-go fun, musical entertainment and demonstrations in every rural craft.

So whether you’re a sportsman, or a family looking for a day out with the kids there is something for everyone to get involved at the 2017 Lowther Show.
