[T]hree men have been arrested in connection with incidents of burglary at a stately home.
Detectives from North Cumbria CID are investigating a number of burglaries committed at Flass House, of Maulds Meaburn, Penrith.
The burglaries have taken place over a number of months to October 2017.
Flass House has been subjected to repeated attacks by so called ‘Urban Explorers’ and those seeking to exploit the property for what remains from a former cannabis farm.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “Today three males, in their late 20s of the Penrith area, have been arrested for on suspicion of burglary.
“They remain in custody for questioning.
“Enquires are ongoing and police would like to remind people that Flass House is privately owned and those entering are doing so as trespassers.
“Police will seek to identify, where possible, those responsible for entering, stealing and causing damage.”
