[P]layers of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £400,000 for Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT), supporting a range of projects that help sustain the landscape, environment, economy and communities of the Yorkshire Dales.
This recent award brings the total funding received by YDMT from players of the charity lottery to £1,626,332 over the last nine years.
David Sharrod, Chief Executive of YDMT, said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to players of People’s Postcode Lottery for this incredible support, which has transformed us a charity and has a huge impact on what we can achieve for the Yorkshire Dales. Player support enhances all aspects of our work, enabling us to continue long-running projects such as woodland planting and wildflower meadow restoration but also helping us to respond to changing needs in our area. It has allowed us to invest more in delivering education and training, outreach and community grants through a number of new schemes.”
People’s Postcode Lottery, as part of Novamedia’s international family of Postcode Lotteries, has recently been named the third largest private charity donor in the world according to London-based business newspaper City A.M.

Clara Govier, Head of Charities at People’s Postcode Lottery said: “We are delighted to continue supporting Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust in 2018. Long term, flexible funding will allow YDMT to continue their excellent programmes and this is all due to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery who make this possible.”
A minimum of 31% of the price of a People’s Postcode Lottery ticket is awarded to charities and good causes. In Great Britain alone, players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £263 Million for over 4,000 good causes, including YDMT.
