Police appeal after Carlisle burglaries

[P]olice are investigating a burglary from a property that was left insecure on the Speckled Wood Estate, Carlisle. The incident occurred overnight between 10pm on the 18/05/2018 and 6am on the 19/05/2018.

Items taken from the property included: a phone, iPad, an amount of cash and a bicycle.

A 40-year-old man from Carlisle, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary. He currently remains in police custody.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anybody acting suspiciously in the area during the stated times.

Cumbria Police would like to remind people to keep their properties secure at all times to deter thieves.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact PC 2283 KIDD on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.


Police are also investigating a burglary which took place at the Rahi at Waterloo restaurant situated close to Carlisle Golf Course in Scotby.

Offenders have broken into the premises between 2pm and 2.30pm on Monday 14th May 2018.

Items taken included alcohol and a small amount of cash.

Police would like to hear from anyone who has seen anything suspicious around that time. Anyone with information should call DC 2457 Chris Burton on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
