[A]t 1:19pm yesterday, Saturday 9 June firefighters were called to rescue a person trapped on an embankment on the riverside at Eamont Bridge.
Crews from Penrith and Shap attended the casualty, who was approximately six metres down the embankment.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “They used a 9m ladder, working at height pack, and a Paraguard stretcher to rescue the casualty.
“They were in attendance for about one hour.”
