Major sponsors for one of the sheep industry’s most important event, NSA North Sheep, will be Agri Lloyd, a company which has been at the forefront of ruminant nutrition for over thirty years. It is seen to be a natural partner to an event, which showcases livestock and best practice within the sheep industry.

Being held at New Hall Farm, Rathmell near Settle on the Yorkshire Lancashire Border, NSA North Sheep 2019 will take place on Wednesday 5th June 2019, courtesy of Frankland Farms. With the partnership headed by brothers Richard and Chris Frankland, this is a 900-acre family farming enterprise, operating across three holdings and incorporating a flock of 1200 sheep, 120 head of Suckler Cattle plus 350 replacement and store cattle and they milk 220 head of dairy cattle.

Giving background, Heather Stoney-Grayshon, NSA Northern Regional Manager, said: “We are very pleased to announce this partnership with Agri-Lloyd, a company which has worked with and supported the sheep industry and the Frankland family over many years. For Agri-Lloyd, we aim to provide them with a targeted showcase and platform to meet with existing and potential customers, to learn about their needs first hand. I would like to thank Agri-Lloyd and our many other sponsors for their support, which is of course integral to the success of this biannual event.”

Agri Lloyd is recognised as one of the few real specialists in this field, with modern custom-built production facilities. It bases its success on what it believes to be technically superior products, backed up by Independent Trial work and supported by a highly trained sales team. It has led the field for over 34 years in health and nutrition, with a range of nutritional supplements and complementary feed stuffs to help compensate for naturally occurring imbalances found in many forage-based diets.

Julie Boultwood, Marketing Manager for Agri-Lloyd said: “We’re delighted to be chosen as the Major Sponsor for the NSA North Sheep 2019. With over 6,000 visitors expected, the show is the perfect platform to showcase Agri-Lloyd to the sheep industry. We’re immensely proud of the Agri-Lloyd brand and how it’s grown over the years and look forward to a great event next year.”

Agri-Lloyd expects to use the event as an opportunity to not only meet farmers and producers, but also to present new ideas and developments in its products and on projects that it is running which are focused on the show itself.

James Ireland, Regional Sales Manager for Agri-Lloyd, said:

“We have, for many years, been a valued advisor to sheep farmers, both in the North and across the UK. Our team work directly with farmers, many from farming stock themselves, to give practical advice on farm to maintain flock health, fertility and productivity.

We’ve always supported the local farming community, and New Hall Farm has used our products for a number of years, so it was a natural step for us to get involved when they were chosen as the host farm for the 2019 event.”

As an organisation, the National Sheep Association (NSA) represents the views and interests of sheep producers throughout the UK, receiving tremendous support from everyone connected with the industry. The NSA is funded by the memberships of its sheep farmers. Together with the many industry related activities it is involved with, it aims to ensure that it plays a key part in every aspect of the sheep farming sector.
