Cumbria’s favourite festival has been nominated in the Best Medium Sized Festival category at the prestigious UK Festival Awards taking place in London on 6th December.

Kendal Calling 2018 sold out in under two weeks and enjoyed its most successful year to date as hundreds of artists and 30,000 festival fans gathered at the stunning Lowther Park Deer Estate for four days of music, comedy, art, amazing food and drink and fun in the fields.

With performances from the likes of Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Libertines, Plan B, Hacienda Classical, James, Shed Seven, Bugzy Malone, The Wailers, The Sherlocks, Tom Grennan, Craig Charles, Lady Leshurr, Grandmaster Flash and many more, the festival continues to attract music lovers from all across the UK and further afield.

Festival Director Andy Smith said: “As a proud Cumbrian, I’ve been humbled by the way our county has embraced Kendal Calling and it’s always amazing to see the festival get national recognition, such as the UK Festival Awards nomination.

“We’ve been working really hard to pull together some incredible artists for the 2019 edition of the festival and I’m really excited by the plans we have in place for next year’s show.”
