Music lovers can enjoy the return of the Brewery’s famous FREE music festival this summer, every Sunday from 21 July until 25 August. From 2-4pm in the Brewery Garden, revel in live music and fabulous food in a family-friendly environment.
Kerry Gossio, General Manager at the Brewery said: “We are excited to introduce a BBQ into the Brewery garden for this year’s Summer Sundays Festival, along with a can bar and draught larger bar. It will be quick and easy to enjoy a drink whilst kicking back and listening to the fantastic line up of live bands. We will also have games and activities for our younger audience to enjoy.”
Summer Sundays has been showcasing top local bands for the last 15 years, featuring a diverse mix of artists and genres from cover bands to reggae, and the laid-back festival feel has made it a firm favourite on South Lakeland’s events calendar.
The Brewery’s Summer Sunday’s season of free gigs kicks off with rocking Cumbrian party band, THE SEALS [21 July]. These talented musicians super-cool set list is designed for dancing, so get ready to party!
New to the festival are Lancaster based ska and rock-steady band THE GUNS OF NAVARONE [28 July]. Their infectiously original Jamaican dance music is performed with an energy that will make you want to dance and move to their groove.
Solo artist MOLLY WARBURTON [4 August], also from Lancaster and new to the festival is a singer/songwriter with contemporary musical influences from London Grammar and Hozier. Molly has performed at many festivals and notable recent gigs include the main stage at Kendal Calling festival.
Summer Sundays welcomes back MIDNIGHT LANDING [11 August] for some high energy, knees up action with their ska-influenced set. Also returning are South Lakeland’s very own rock and pop cover band BOOMERANG [18 August].
To round up the festival make an excursion into funk and psychedelia with band BEAK, BOWIE & SHARKEY [25 August] as they perform power trio blues and blues/rock.
