Story Contracting have launched a recruitment drive in its North West and Central regions.
The award-winning civil engineering and infrastructure company is looking to recruit Scheme Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and P6 Planners to join Story’s Rail division.
Based in offices in Carlisle, Chorley and Birmingham, the roles will contribute to the Rail team’s delivery of a variety of structural, geotechnical and property works across the North West and Central regions of the UK.
Bridge constructions at Bicester, refurbishments at Shugborough Tunnel and platform upgrades and track renewals at Carlisle station are amongst the works that Story will be carrying out, primarily on behalf of Network Rail.
Jonny Fearon, Contracts Manager for the North West region, said: “It’s great news that the Rail division is in the strong position to be able to recruit for these roles.
“There has recently been significant investment by Network Rail into the North West and Central routes, and we’re looking forward to introducing new talent into Story Contracting to help us deliver this exciting workbank over the next few years.”
Jason Tierney, Contracts Manager for the Central region, added: “There’s never been a better time to join our enthusiastic and committed team.”
The Scheme Project Managers will be responsible for securing, planning and managing the projects, whilst the Assistant Project Managers will work alongside Site Managers to manage the works and act as the interface with the client.
The P6 Planning Team, meanwhile, has a range of opportunities available for P6 Planners with differing levels of experience, to help deliver project planning from launch to successful completion.
