Work on 66 new homes in West Cumbria is due to begin this summer.
Gleeson Homes has been granted planning permission to build the estate off Dearham Road at Broughton Moor.
Calluna Grange will include 13 affordable homes, the developer said, with prices at 20 per cent lower than their market value.

Gleeson will adapt local footpaths, and improve the children’s play area close to the development and is planning to plant a wildflower meadow to improve biodiversity and ecology in Broughton Moor.
