Job Profile: Personal Care & Development – PCD5 Grade 5B Part-time up to 30/32 hours per week over 5 days, term time, permanent contract Personal Care & Development PCD5 – £19698 per annum pro rata
(less hours/days may be available for the right candidate)
To commence: September 2021.
To enhance classroom support, a teaching assistant is required, for up to 30 hours a week.
An opportunity to support young people to access learning and to assist teachers in the management of pupils and the classroom.
We welcome applications from those who can relate well to young people, who enjoy seeing pupils learn and achieve their full potential, and who will get involved as part of the wider staff team.
Your background might be in education, youth or social work or any experience that has built the necessary skills to support pupils and work alongside teaching and other support staff.
You will be expected to:
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with additional needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
- Promote the inclusion, interaction and acceptance of all pupils
- Additional responsibility for library duties
