An urgent appeal has been launched to help find a vulnerable dog with dementia who has been missing for 10 days.
Fourteen-year-old Sorrel bolted at 6pm on May 14 at Warwick Hall in Warwick-on-Eden, east of Carlisle. A recent sighting turned out to be a different dog and no other sightings have been reported.
West Cumbria Missing Persons and Animal Search and Rescue have carried out searches using drones and an underwater drone to scour the nearby river. A team of seven from the charity, including the owners, have been out searching for the dog.
The charity is asking for the support of the public to take part in a large search on Saturday, meeting at 1pm at the Warwick Hotel car park. Search teams will be split into groups of six to meet COVID-19 requirements.
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms are asked not to attend.
