Carlisle United beat neighbours Workington Reds 3-0 in their friendly this afternoon in front of 748 fans.
The Blues dominated possession throughout with Zac Clough the outstanding player on the fieldwith a goal and two assists.
Workington went closest through Dan Wordsworth, their best player, with a header which dropped just over the bar.
Carlisle had taken the lead on 13 minutes when a mistake by Brad Hubbold gifted possession to Clough on the edge of the area and he scored with a controlled finish beyond the unsighted Jim Atkinson.
The second came on 37 minutes with a great ball in from Clough which was controlled well by Mannase Mampala and he finished with a strong shot past Atkinson.

Workington defended well throughout but found it difficult to penetrate on the counter and opportunities were few and far between.
The only goal in the second-half came on 67 minutes when Clough slid the ball through for Taylor Charters who went wide before steering a low shot across Atkinson into the far corner.
