The Met Office has updated its snow and ice warning to include almost the whole of Cumbria.
Expected to last until around 11am today, the warning says wintry showers will cause icy stretches, with snow showers becoming more extensive over parts of Scotland and North West England today.
What to expect
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
- Some roads and railways may be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
