Fundraising legend SpeedoMick is passing through Cumbria.
The man, who walks the length and breadth of the country in nothing but a pair of Speedo-style swim shorts to raise money for charity, is on a 2,000 mile, five-month trek across the UK and Ireland.
So far he has raised more than £100,000 for the SpeedoMick Foundation, which he will then distribute to charity.
Mick was today spotted in Carlisle as part of the mammoth journey.
He will also arrive in Kendal in mid to late afternoon on December 5. He will walk via the A6 then up Highgate as he is staying at the Shakespeare Inn overnight.
“It would be great if we could come out and support him and his fundraising activities and give as much coverage to him as we can,” said Richard Hancock, manager of the Well Communities residential housing project that helps people who suffer from addiction and alcoholism in Kendal.
