Grizedale Forest has reopened some of its trails following Storm Arwen- but Go Ape remains closed.

Forestry England said although phone lines were still not working to the visitor centre, it was now open and people were encouraged to pop in to help plan their visit.

The cafe has also reopened and the main car park, Bogle Crag and Blind Lane car park are also open.

Also open are:

  • Forest roads on the east side
  • Ridding Wood trail
  • Grizedale Tarn trail (with diversion)
  • Gruffalo orienteering
  • Play area
  • Biketreks

However, the following remain closed:

  • West side of forest
  • Kennels car park
  • Moor Top car park
  • Gruffalo Spotters trail
  • Millwood trail
  • Bike Hire
  • Go Ape
  • North Face and Black bike trail
