Kendal will provide welcome visitors to the Isle of Man tomorrow when Douglas play only their third home game of the season.
For various reasons opponents haven’t travelled and the Manxmen have only played nine games, of which they have won one and drawn one.
They sit bottom with just eight points, five points adrift of the nearest club, Carlisle and a points differential deficit of minus 169.
Kendal will fancy their chances of returning home with maximum points to move them back into contention for second spot in the North One West table.
They go into the game on the back of a hard-fought 24-5 home win over Glossop, one of the stronger sides in the division.
Carlisle
Glossop provide the opposition for struggling Carlisle tomorrow, hosting the city side who were beaten 34-14 at home by Manchester last week.
Carlisle have only won two of their 12 matches so far but their season has been blighted by injuries and unavailabilities, with options hopefully improving over the second half of the season.

Penrith
Penrith’s charge up the table was halted at Wilmslow last week in absolutely shocking conditions when they lost 17-7.
It’s purely a fight for second place in this league with Stockport already 16 points clear but Penrith, in fourth, are only four points behind Manchester who are currently closest to the leaders.
Penrith host Birkenhead Park, currently seventh and seven points behind the Cumbrians, but they do have two games in hand.
Keswick
Keswick’s game at home to Bolton last week was called off because of the fact that Bolton were unable to raise a front row. It has been recorded as a 0-0 scoreline but with five points awarded to the Cumbrians and five deducted from the Lancashire side.
Tomorrow Keswick will travel to bottom side Orrell, who recently conceded 40 points at home to Cockermouth and who have won only two of their 11 games.
Cockermouth
Cockermouth are buoyant at the moment and will be refreshed after a week off, giving a number of their injured players time to recover.
It’s a good one to come back to as Warrington visit Strawberry How fresh from a 61-0 home win over struggling Orrell to put them right behind fifth-placed Keswick, only three points in arrears. Cockermouth are seven points further back, but from a game more.
St Benedict’s
St Benedict’s enjoyed a very good 32-6 home win over Southport and although their away form hasn’t been good, should travel to Tarleton tomorrow with some confidence. Their hosts are two places and five points behind them.
But, as with all our sides and the geography involved in travelling, a lot depends on the strength of teams which leave Cumbria.
Aspatria
Aspatria are also on their travels tomorrow in the new surroundings of Durham/Northumberland One when they visit Ponteland.
The Black Reds moved into the top half of the table with a 54-17 home win over Horden and Peterlee and their hosts tomorrow are three places and five points worse off.
Upper Eden
Four games are scheduled for Cumbria One where Upper Eden, with a ten from ten record and a ten-point advantage at the top, are hot favourites to take the title. But it’s the game of the day tomorrow as they host second-placed Wigton.
Other games
- Creighton v Whitehaven;
- Egremont v Millom;
- Hawcoat Park v Furness.
