
Flimby Homing Society held a show race for any age cock and it attracted 72 entries, which were judged by Ian McGarr.
The race will be the longest in the inland programme which still has to be agreed.
Tickets went to: 1, Fitzsimmons and son; 2, Rushforth and Hunter; 3, 5, 7, Bromley and co; 4, Nelson and Crellin; 6, Tinnion and Aitken; 8, R. Hodgson.
Wednesday’s show race this week will be for the first channel race, and once again the programme still has to be agreed. Judging will be at 7-30pm.
Workington Victoria show for young hens had 60 entries which were judged by Ian McGarr.
He gave tickets to: 1, Williams and Hadfield; 2, 4, 6, Martindale and Lawman; 3, 7, Bromley and co; 5, Varty, son and grandson; 8, McLuckie bros.
The show was sponsored by the Union Jack Club and there were judge’s specials for the first four.This Friday’s show will have two classes – for ticket winners and also for grizzles and pieds. Judging will be at 7-30pm.
