Kendal Town say they are delighted at the way ticket sales are going ahead of Monday’s home derby with Workington.
The latest update suggested 240 tickets had been snapped-up and that’s 100 more already than what the club has been averaging of late.
Up to the new board taking over the Parkside Road club had an average of just over 100 for their home games, and since the change of regime that figure has been increased to 135.
New chairman Michael O’Neill said: “We are delighted how the advance ticket sales have been going as we know it’s going to be our biggest crowd of the season.
“We have worked closely with Workington and the chairman Dave Bowden has been a massive help which has been much appreciated.
“There have been a number of issues at the ground and clubhouse which we have had to address, but we expect to be prepared for the day.”
The Reds are second top, with Kendal languishing second bottom and the last time the teams met at Parkside Road a crowd of 450 was there.
This time round the Workington travelling supporters have filled two coaches and with lots going by car a similar figure might be expected.
