West Cumbria will have three teams contesting the BARLA National Cup this season.
It would have been four but Ellenborough felt they had enough on their plate with the Challenge Cup which has given them a trip to London.
First into action will be Cockermouth Titans who have a very attractive home tie against Waterhead from Oldham on Saturday, January 29.
Waterhead play in the National Conference Third Division and this coming season, which starts in March, will be playing Hensingham. Millom and Seaton Rangers.
The Cockermouth club has put a great deal of time and effort into improvements at their Highfield ground, with backing from the Council and the Rugby Football League.
It’s one of five first round games being played on January 29.
The others are: Sharlston v HM Prison Service; Orrell St. James v Drighlington; Haresfinch v Birkenshaw Bluedogs; Myton Warriors v Leigh Mioners Rangers.
Aspatria Hornets and Maryport will be entering the competition at the second round stage which still has to be drawn.
