The partner of missing Carlisle woman Sophie Burns has issued an appeal to the public for help to find her.
Lucy Cottier is keen to hear from anyone who has any information that may lead to Sophie being found.
She recently set up a private group to coordinate drone searches for Sophie, but so far they are yet to find any trace of her.
“I reached out to people on Facebook for people who have drones and would be able to help search around the Solway Firth. A few people got in touch and we created a private drone group and created search areas,” said Lucy Cottier, one of the friends involved in the search.
The 28-year-old was last seen in the Dalton Crescent area of Carlisle on Sunday, December 12. She is described as 5ft 3in, of slim build with long brown hair. She was last seen wearing black joggers, a black hoody, a black Berghaus gilet, a black Adidas cap and white Nike Air Force 1 trainers.
“We would really urge the public to come forward with any information that they may have, however small it may be as this may lead us to bring Sophie home safely,” said Lucy.
“If anyone finds an iPhone XR please ensure that this is handed into the police as this could potentially be Sophie’s phone.
“Sophie has links to Cumbria, York and Leeds that we are aware of, please can the public keep sharing the missing person appeal.”
