Firefighters in Barrow are warning businesses and homeowners after a serious fire.
A wheelie bin was set alight at the rear of Preston Street/Cavendish Street last night and firefighters are warning people to store waste correctly, ensure bins are only put out on the day of collection and to report any anti-social behaviour to Cumbria police on 101.
A statement from Barrow Fire Station said: “There is a real risk that a fire like this can spread to a building and become much worse.”
