Injury-hit Carlisle have had to pull out of Saturday’s re-arranged game at Altrincham Kersal.
The original fixture had been postponed before Christmas because of Covid issues.
But Carlisle continue to be dogged by injuries and are not able to field a front-row for the trip to Greater Manchester.
At the start of the week, the Warwick Road club only had two fit prop forwards and one of those did his back in on Wednesday night.
So far Carlisle have had ten points deducted in North One West for unfulfilled fixtures and they are bottom with only three points.
The club has just announced that coach Matt Shields is to retire from playing and stand down from the position at the end of the season.
The head coaching position has not been advertised yet but already there has been interest in the role.
The club says it is going to take time on making an appointment as it intends to find the right man for the job.
