
Workington RNLI was called out to help search for a missing man in the early hours.
The volunteer crew launched the relief all-weather lifeboat 13-25 at 2.47am after reports that a man had fallen in the sea off the coast at Lowca.
With colleagues from Coastguard rescue teams, they began to search for the casualty.
The search was stood down at 4.30am after the man was located ashore, safe and well.
