Petrol prices have surged to a record high and are expected to rise further in coming weeks, the AA has said.
Petrol was more than 148p a litre on Sunday. The previous highest price was 147.72p on November 21 last year.
Diesel prices have also risen. The average price for a litre stands at 151.57p, compared with 151.10p on November 20 2021.
The increases have been driven by growing demand and mounting tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
