Boris Johnson has been meeting county leaders in West Cumbria at a private function.
Mike Starkie, the mayor of Copeland, posted a picture of himself with Mr Johnson and said: “Great to see the Prime Minister in West Cumbria tonight.”
Mr Johnson had visited the new £35 million cancer care centre in Carlisle earlier today, as part of a tour of Scotland and Cumbria.
