Cumbria Scouts are fundraising to enable 18 scouts from across the county to attend the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea next year.

They are seeking prize donations for a raffle to raise the required £80,000.

Over 700 scouts from all parts of Cumbria were invited to take part in the selection process, and 18 scouts from that number have been selected to represent their county at the global event in 2023 (together with 40,000 other scouts from around the world). The raffle is therefore deserving of strong countywide support.

Peter Tyson Carlisle has already donated a 32” Samsung TV and Panasonic Bluetooth headphones to help the cause.

Anyone willing to donate prizes is asked to call Kevin Hart on 07739 944807.

Once prizes have been collected tickets will be sold at retailers across the county, including Suziebou in Dalston.

A date for the draw has not yet been announced.
