This motorcyclist is urged to come forward to help with the investigation into the crash

This biker is urged to come forward as they appeal for more information about a collision in Carlisle which resulted in the death of a 33-year-old motorcyclist.

The incident happened at around 3pm on Wigton Road on Monday and officers believe the biker may have witnessed the crash and may be able to help with the investigation.

Jason Farmer, 33, of Carlisle, died at the scene of the collision, which involved a Suzuki motorcycle and an orange Ford Transit van.

Police are working to piece together exactly what happened, they said, including in the time leading up to the fatal collision.

They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen two motorbikes riding around the Dalston area or the vicinity of the collision on Wigton Road, in the time leading up to the collision.

Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam and was travelling in the same areas, around the time of the collision.
