Hensingham and Millom won’t be taking the opportunity to follow up last week’s first National Conference wins.
The Third Division pair have moved their clash in West Cumbria back to June because of the Challenge Cup game between Whitehaven and St Helens.
Whitehaven had wanted a later kick-off to allow local amateur clubs to complete their fixtures and get along to the LEL Arena for the game.
But because the game is being streamed live and has to go out early afternoon the kick-off was fixed for 2pm.
Hensingham and Millom had permission from the league to delay the game to June and players will have the opportunity to watch the Super League giants in action.
Announcing their decision the two clubs said: “It isn’t every day of the week that you get the chance to see one of the best teams in the northern hemisphere play in your own backyard.”
But the three other Copeland sides in the Conference are batting on regardless and will play their fixtures at the normal time.
Wath Brow Hornets lead the way in the Premier Division after last week’s 8-8 draw at Thatto Heath.
Hornets, the Crusaders and West Hull share the lead and are separated by the narrowest of points differentials.
Tomorrow Ian Rooney’s men entertain Rochdale Mayfield who beat Egremont Rangers 36-26 last week, their second win in three matches so far.
Down the road at Egremont, the Rangers have York Acorn as visitors – who have created a conundrum already.
How can you be bottom of the league with the worst points differential and hold joint leaders West Hull to a 10-10 draw?
It might make a difference making the long trip to West Cumbria and Egremont will certainly be looking to record their second win in four games.
In Division Two Kells are 100% from their two games, and buoyant after a clear-cut 82-6 win at Myton Warriors last week.
But it will certainly be tougher tomorrow when they travel again, this time to Wigan St Patrick’s.
Peter Smith’s side have a bit of a form line. They beat West Bowling 28-14 two weeks ago at Kells while last Saturday St Pat’s beat West Bowling 22-14.
Barrow Island have won their last two games and third-placed Heworth stand between them and a hat-trick.
Last week the Islanders had a good 24-10 win at Bradford Dudley Hill while Heworth were 60-0 home winners over Wigan St Judes.
With Hensingham v Millom off tomorrow, Seaton Rangers have the Third Division scene all to themselves with a home game against Leigh East.
After two encouraging wins over Eastmoor and Hensingham, the league newcomers were brought down to earth with a bump when they lost 56-6 at East Leeds.
Tomorrow’s visitors have won one, drawn one and lost one so far and last week drew 12-12 at home to Bentley, who joined the league with Seaton this season.
