A popular Lake District pub has reopened following a major revamp.

The Village Inn, on Lake Road, Windermere, officially reopened on Monday following a six-figure makeover, with the bar, kitchen and beer garden undergoing a complete refurbishment.

With a refurbished kitchen and new menu, the bar has also received a modern upgrade, featuring new cask ales, an extensive gin collection and two wood-burning stoves in the seating area. The beer garden has had a complete makeover, featuring wood seating across three terraces.

Miles Fricker, general manager at The Village Inn, said: “The renovation has brought fresh new energy to the pub, and with improved facilities, we’re really pleased to be able to offer our Windermere customers an even better drinking and dining experience with us.

“We look forward to welcoming friends from near and far back to The Village Inn over the next few weeks”
