Two Young Farmers Clubs are going head-to-head to settle their rivalry – on a rugby field.
Aspatria and Wigton Young Farmers Clubs have decided on a friendly game of rugby to air their grievances at Aspatria’s Bower Park on Saturday, April 23.
Organisers promise the match – which will also raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance, RABI and Ukraine Crisis Appeal – will offer spectators great comedy value.
Co-organiser Hayden Charters said: “All players are severely unfit and and have no idea how to play. It’s not easy being wheezy!
“Everyone is welcome to watch and we’d love to see as many people there as possible.”
The match kicks off at 3pm and the bar opens at 2.30pm.
