There is an emergency road closure in place on the A65 at Crooklands.
The road is closed between the Crooklands Hotel and Endmoor, our colleagues at Cumbria Road Watch are reporting.
A water main burst last night, which prompted the initial road closure, and the road has now been deemed structurally unsafe.
