Cumbria police are appealing for witnesses as part of an investigation into a reported failed to stop road traffic collision.

It occurred at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, April 27, on the A689 Cargo/Rockcliffe Road, Carlisle.

Police said it involved a Ford Transit tipper, red and green in colour with a netting cover, and a male pedestrian who was running.

The male pedestrian attended hospital with injuries believed to be minor.  The flatbed van is reported to have not stopped at the scene, said police.

Police are appealing to hear from any witnesses in the area around that time and in particular any cars that have dashcam footage.

Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit , quoting incident number 175 of the 27th April or call 101.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
