
LATEST: Man and woman killed in West Cumbrian crash named
A woman has been arrested after two people were killed in a West Cumbrian collision.
The incident involved a Nissan Quashqai, driven by a 30-year-old woman, and two pedestrians on the A596 at Flimby, near Maryport.
The pedestrians, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, from West Cumbria, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving. She was later bailed.
Police were called at 12.08am to the incident.
