
Two people have been arrested after men were spotted with firearms on private land in north Cumbria.
They were seen at around 5pm on May 5 on land at Scotby.
Two men, aged 29 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of trespass on land with an air rifle, possession of an air rifle in a public place and possession of an air rifle by a prohibited person.
They were released under investigation.
Anybody who may have witnessed the incident or the men in the area of Scotby – or who may have other information relating to the incident – is asked to contact PC 2554 or PC 2743, of the Mobile Support Group.
