
A marquee in the centre of Whitehaven – erected as part of the town’s platinum jubilee celebrations – has been damaged by vandals.
Volunteers found the damage at the marquee in St Nicholas’ Gardens this morning, along with piles of litter and broken bottles inside.
The marquee has been erected to host a photographic exhibition.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who saw anything to come forward.
