A Carlisle man accused of attacking and injuring a woman in the city will stand trial in front of a jury later this year.
Patryk Dmbowski, 36, appeared at the city’s crown court earlier today, and faced one charge.
This alleges that Dmbowski unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on the woman.
The charge arises out of an incident on Saturday, April 23, which has been described as domestic-related. The woman is said to have suffered a fractured clavicle.
Dmbowski pleaded not guilty to the grievous bodily harm allegation when he appeared in court remotely, over a video link.
A timetable for the progression of the case was outlined during a brief hearing. The defendant, of Allandale Road, off Edgehill Road, Carlisle, is due to stand trial in the week of August 22. It is estimated the hearing will last around two days.
In the meantime, Dmbowski was remanded in custody by Judge Nicholas Barker, and reminded to co-operate with his legal team as they prepare a statement setting out, in detail, his defence to the allegation.
