A celebration of cycling is set to take place in Silloth next month.
Now in its second year, Solway Coast Cycling Festival will take place on July 23 on the Green and promises fun for all the family.
The free event, which runs from 10am to 4pm, offers activities including outdoor fitness classes plus children’s bike riding skills and bike repair demonstrations.
Fairground rides and refreshments will also be available.
Grass track races will also be held for professional racers, then children will be able to take to the track.
People can hire bikes during the festival, but visitors are advised to bring their own if possible.
Mike Johnson, leader of Allerdale council, said: “Last year’s Solway Coast Cycling Festival was a huge success, so I’m delighted to see it returning to Silloth.
“This celebration of all things cycling is an opportunity to explore the stunning Solway Coast by bike and take part in the many activities planned throughout the day.”
The festival is free, although some activities will have a charge.
