
Police are urging anyone who has had their car broken into to contact them.
An investigation has been launched after officers received a report on Friday that a vehicle had been broken into.
A police spokesman said: “Police have been made aware of posts circulating on social media relating to further members of the public in the Cleator Moor area, having been victim to thefts from vehicles within the last few days.
“Enquires are ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the unreported incidents.
“Police are urging anyone in the Cleator Moor area who has been the victim of a theft from their vehicle, to contact police so incidents can be investigated, support offered and property returned should it be recovered.”
