
A new £10,000 fund to improve social tenants’ lives across Cumbria has been launched.
Social landlord Castle & Coasts Housing Association is working with Cumbria Community Foundation to launch the fund, and grants are available to charities and not-for-profit organisations which work in the association’s neighbourhoods.
The fund aims to support people develop skills to help them gain employment, access digital and financial inclusion services, provide health and wellbeing activities, and reduce anti-social behaviour.
Adam Gould, head of customer service and engagement at Castles & Coasts Housing Association, said: “We are really proud to be working together and we hope to support some fantastic initiatives, which make a real difference to our residents and communities.”
Lisa Blackwell, grants and programmes officer at the foundation, said: “This new partnership is a great example of how we can work with organisations to support local community groups and initiatives that make a big difference to the lives of those in genuine need.”
