
A man has been arrested after a nine-year-old boy was injured in a collision in West Cumbria.
Police appealed for information about the incident, which happened outside the Shell garage on Hensingham’s Main Street earlier this month, as the driver had failed to stop.
A Cumbria police spokesman said: “A 64-year-old man from Humberside has since been arrested in connection and released on bail whilst officers conduct their enquiries.
“Officers are continuing their appeal for any witnesses to the incident to come forward with any relevant information or any relevant dashcam or CCTV of the incident.”
The collision happened on August 11 at about 4.25pm and involved a dark coloured convertible Audi TT.
The nine-year-old boy, from Whitehaven, suffered facial injuries as a result of the collision.
