A West Cumbrian creative communications agency has announced its expansion into London.
Founded and led by 18-year-old Oliver Hodgson, Platinum Live is based in Whitehaven.
Oliver started the firm at the beginning of the pandemic aged 16. He said: “This is an important moment in Platinum’s journey, having won several key accounts in London and outside of the North, our desire is to become known and grow a reputation for not only producing great work but also holding strong social values.
“London has been an ambition for a long time, and thanks to collaborative work with an exciting personal branding agency that ambition is becoming a reality much quicker than I thought would be possible.
“Spending a great deal of time in the city this year has speared me on to take our expansion into the capital far more seriously.
“Our roots lie in Cumbria, and we’re incredibly passionate about making sure we continue to grow our portfolio here and build on our offering in what is quite a traditional county.
“When we’ve been in London in the last year whether that be attending industry awards, conferences or meeting with potential clients, the conversations we’ve been having are exciting and align very much with where I see the agency in three years’ time.”
Platinum Live has worked with the likes of RAICo One, Kendal Calling, BEC, MissionCX and Kurogo as well as various talent including Gary McKee, Fell Foodie and Hardwicke Circus.
Last month, the agency also handled the brief for the Whitehaven Alive festival, marketing Chris Moyles, Scouting For Girls and Porsche descending on the town, with the agency’s work resulting in a sell-out first year.
“As we look towards this exciting period of expansion, we’ll be investing heavily in our team and 2023 will see us go on a hiring sprint and we’ll be on the hunt for some seriously talented individuals,” added Oliver.
