Whilst football virtually came to a stop in Cumbria yesterday there was some action for youngsters in the west of the county.
Under-9s from Maryport and Workington Juniors Blacks played thanks to the great facilities offered by Maryport rugby club’s excellent 5G pitch.

It really emphasised the importance of these facilities inn the development of budding footballers.
The youngsters were able to enjoy a keenly contested game which was excellently controlled by the referee.

It proved to be an enthralling end-to-end game between two fully committed sides who each experimented with players in unfamiliar positions.
