The A66 has reopened in both directions after a caravan fell off a low loader.
The incident happened at Stainmore, near the Stainmore cafe this afternoon and Cumbria police said the caravan blocked both lanes, resulting in traffic building up in the area.
Drivers were urged to find alternative routes.
