
Four fire crews were called out to tackle a major barn blaze.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service was called at around 11.50am on Monday, January 2, to Allonby after reports of an Incident involving a large quantity of straw in an outbuilding on an access road.
Four fire engines and the joint incident command unit attended.
On arrival fire crews discovered a fire involving a barn measuring 40m by 10m which was well alight on arrival of fire crews.
Crews were in attendance for about two hours and 20 minutes.
