Barrow have added a second new player to the squad only five days into the January transfer window.
Belgian-born defender Rory Feely is a Republic of Ireland Under-21s international and has signed a contract until the end of 2023/24.
The 6ft 3in defender has spent the past two seasons with Bohemians in the League of Ireland, clocking up 54 appearances for the Dublin side, including four games in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The 25-year-old started his career with St Patrick’s Athletic where he won his Under-21s cap before moving to Waterford where he played 62 times.
After a short spell back at St. Patrick’s he joined Bohemians in 2021. His elder brother Kevin Feely played twice for Carlisle United in 2013 when he was on loan from Charlton Athletic.
Barrow manager Pete Wild said: “Full credit has to go to our recruitment team for this signing. We are always looking for different avenues to recruit and this signing is a great example of that.
“After being presented with all the information and having had the opportunity to see Rory first hand on a week-long trial, we felt he was a great addition to the group.
“He brings pace to our back four, he is really good with both feet and can play as a right-side centre half or a right back, which always is helpful with a small squad like ours.
“As you know, with our recruitment, the number one priority is the character of the individual.
“As such, having a player with over 150 league games in Ireland, we feel he has the natural attributes to fit well into our group.”
The defender now joins the Bluebirds, subject to international clearance, and will wear the 24 shirt.
