You can plan your perfect big day at one of Cumbria’s most popular hotels at a wedding fayre next month.
Nestled in the picturesque village on the edge of the Lake District, the Crown Hotel Wetheral can promise you a day to remember.
Planning completion of a £2.5 million refurbishment this spring, the Crown has increased room stock by 40 per cent and is celebrating the huge advancement for the area.
The Crown is opening its doors on Sunday February 12 to couples planning their wedding, highlighting how spectacular the Crown Hotel and gardens are for weddings.
The wedding fayre will offer tours of the hotel – including its refurbished bedrooms – but also giveaways and a bridal fashion catwalk show at 2.30pm.
Couples can walk down the red carpet with a glass of Prosecco and the first 50 brides will receive a goodie bag.
Plus there will be over 20 local exhibitors – who can offer everything from flowers to stationery.
Sales manager Georgina Miller said: “I am so excited about all of the projects we are working on here at the crown. From developing new bedrooms opening this spring, to all of our future plans to make our already wonderful hotel, even more special.

The hotel has different options for your dream ceremony – say ‘I do’ under a garden gazebo, in a light-flooded conservatory or in its grand Garden Suite. Or enjoy intimate gatherings in its elegant lounges or lavish occasions in its main suite.
The wedding fayre runs from 1pm to 4pm, with the bridal catwalk show at 2.30pm – and the Crown’s wedding team are ready to welcome you.
