Holders Workington are through to the semi-final of the Higson Cup after a comfortable home win over Cleator at the Valentine Ground.
Already through are Furness, who continued their good run of form with a comprehensive win over Keswick at Fitz Park in their semi-final.
Workington will play Cockermouth in the second-final after they had beaten Cleator by 86 runs, while Furness earned their place in the final by beating Keswick by 127 runs.
No date has been set for the remaining semi-final, to be played at Cockermouth, but could be July 2 as it won’t take place when Cumbria have a county game – and they play on the next two Sundays.
First into the final are Furness after they rattled-up 220-9 in their 45 overs at Keswick.
Yash Dubey (68) and Sam Dutton (69) led the way with a partnership of 95 for the third wicket and they had support from Mark Daly (23) and Liam Curwen (21). Dan Gaskell (3-24) and Sam McGown (3-62) were the main Keswick wicket-takers.
Keswick never really got going, slipping from 42-3 to 56-7 and were finally all out for 93.
Scott McGown (31no) and Stephen Hindmarch (22) were the only Keswick batsmen to offer resistance as Peter Lawson (4-24), Sam Dutton (3-32), Josh Shaw (2-30) and Samson Storey (1-7) shared the wickets.
At Workington the home side benefited from a 99-runs partnership for the third wicket between Jake Daniel (89) and Adam Chambers (31) and finished their 45 overs on 230-9.
Abdul Muzammil took a season’s best 5-36 from his seven overs for Cleator.
Darren Clark was key to the Cleator reply after opening the winnings, and he scored 29 off 36 balls, but when he was out at 56-4 the writing was on the wall. His father Ian Clark (15) and wicket-keeper Graeme Lilly (21) were the only other batsmen to reach double figures.
They were eventually bowled-out for 127, helped by 25 wides, with David Pearce (5-28) and Ben Scott (3-23) doing most of the damage.
