Furness batsman Nathan Waterston has been recalled to the Cumbria side for Sunday’s NCA Trophy game against Northumberland at Allendale.
He is brought in because Marcus Stables, the ex-Cockermouth batsman now playing for Nantwich, was claimed by his club for their ECB National Trophy Area final tie.
Waterston had been left out two weeks ago for the home game with Oxfordshire as Cumbria wanted to play an extra seamer in Chris Wright, the former Warwickshire County Championship player.
The only other change from that side is in the wicket-keeper role where Drew Postlethwaite of Haverigg replaces Kendal’s Finlay Richardson, who will be 12th man.
Northumberland are going well in the competition having won all three games so far, while Cumbria have two wins from two games – so a lot at stake from this one.
Cumbria will field: Michael Slack (Carlisle, capt), Sam Dutton (Furness), Freddie Fallows (Kendal), Drew Postlethwaite (Haverigg, wk), Matthew Sempill (Cockermouth), Sam Sharp (Cockermouth), Matthew Siddall (Cockermouth), Nathan Waterston (Furness), Ben Walkden (Newton-le-Willows), Nico Watt (Carlisle), Chris Wright (Dorridge). Twelfth man: Finlay Richardson (Kendal).
